Departure

… And the time comes when you have to depart

Scintillating chords pervades your heart

Pain drills in like a piercing dart

To bottle up your Effervescent tears is truly an art

Hues of yesteryears comes alive

How ecstatically we all used to thrive

Not foreknown about ensuing lives

Living in that very moment used to be our drive

How life leaves us into a labyrinth, I wonder

Priorities change and our yearnings surrender

Into the alleys, in a cavern and we wander

But every second, life does smoulder

Time elapses, so does our age

But those fire flies remain encased in our rib cage

Effulgence of togetherness often flares from those cherished pages

As we perpetually stow away in our life’s carriage.

Your words always mean sooo much to me, you are so kind to say that, am honoured really😊
Happy you liked the poem. Yeah you told me that earlier also, but it was 6th of June I didn’t know, now I would remember 🙂
I guess being givers is a way different feeling of peace and bliss than being the one on the other side. I always wonder that if I will be able to make it to 55 or 60 what would my thoughts be on life, would I be afraid or content with my life, don’t know but reading your thoughts I suppose once you give up your love for the world, for materialism and be gracious of what you have and be happy to make others happy, you will find peace.

Beautiful words about a painful time…leaving. I love the image you used of leaving the nest. That might be, for many of us, our first taste of sense of loss we feel when we have to say goodbye. Dear UmAnzar, you I’m sure felt this all over again, when you had to go back home after being with your wonderful family and reattaching to that womb of security and love. It is always so hard to say goodbye..and you found your words that describe your emotions and even physical feelings, at that moment. I am hoping your beautiful poem, gave you solace a bit, but it is always heart wrenching to leave, those we love…behind. Emotional and right from your heart… these words flowed out. Gives you the biggest hug in the world.🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️

Thank you sooo much for your beautiful words, your support and your love❤️❤️❤️❤️ Shukran UmJulian for your hug, I got it, back to you too🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

The following lines struck me..
“To bottle up your Effervescent tears is truly an art”..

This poem really spoke to me – it was full of such beautiful imagery. I loved the lines about bottling the tears and the one about fireflies trapped in our ribcage. It made me feel both happy and sad – yes, time passes and it may be painful but everything that we experienced still burns brightly within us. I felt that message coming through.

Simply beautiful and full of emotions.

Meeting and departing is the way of life, departing and meeting is the hope of life.

This is the strange thing about life everything come to end, everything so temporary, so short living so are our meeting…

Someday someway or the other we all have to part but keeping the flame burning of meeting once again is what keeps us going.

Good to have you back.

You have captured brilliantly in words what many of us are going through. We never knew what we had and now we have lost it. Waiting for those old pages and memories to come back again. And so happy to see you back in WP.
