Rainbow

In a deluge of rain, I often get washed away

Flowing along the waters

To unknown destinations of its own predilection

Rubbing and bruising my skin against the boulders

Wounding my confidence

Paralyzing my thoughts

Decapitating my demeanor

To only flow and flow

Like a paper boat

The ultimate fate of which is to let the water gush in

I immerse in the destiny’s fiasco

Allowing to swallow my existence

What If, not fall and drift with the rain

Not surrender to bruises and pains

Instead, be a ray of sunlight

Courageous to enter the dense droplet

To fight, not bow but bend

To reflect my treasures

Believe in my abilities

Have faith in The “Only One”

And disperse to come out

Splitting a wide spectrum

Of shades of fortitude

Into a VIBGYOR

To shine across the sky

Vibrantly, coherently

Evincing the world

The Rainbow me.

Both are wonderful natural phenomena, each having its own very significance. While Rainbow spectrum shows us how beautifully the colors blend together yet carrying their individuality, it shows us not to be disheartened and wait for it to appear after a shower of rain.
While blazing colors of autumn can be perceived in so many different ways, the beauty of the fallen leaves is analogous to our life, we live and then the time comes when we will have to fall and perish. I wrote a poem on autumn as well titled “The fall”, would be happy if you will go through it as well.

Rainbow shall come soon or the hope of its coming in the future is keeping us alive and mindful. And it does in the times of despair otherwise it would have been difficult to cope up with our situations. Beautiful poem Samreen, very beautiful. I loved the analogy of a rainbow to come out victorious.
And I also loved the analogy of paper boats flowing with the tide, whose eventual destiny is to have the water rush in. Never pictured it like that.
Floating paper boats on streams brought back beautiful memories from childhood 💖

Wow…somehow I missed the Rainbow You…oh I love this flow downstream , finally converting bruises and pain to the wide spectrum of color and vibration.. Sooo happy to see your message 😊🙂 Actually, a month back I fell and badly sprained my foot, was on bed rest but you can imagine how it’s possible with a naughty toddler around. 😅 Now, am back on my legs walking on my own but still can’t run after my little one.😀 Hopefully, soon will. 🙂
