Ecdysis

A layer so stern and obdurate

Unfurls and suffuse

Caging your being

Blocking your vision

Pounding heart wants to breathe

For nobody knows what lies beneath

Oh beloved to persevere, resuscitate and burgeon

Shed the exoskeleton

For underneath is trapped your radiance

Moult like a cicada

Sloughing off your integumentary shell

And let Waft slowly your ambrosial smell

Jealously, hatred, ego

Selfishness, arrogance and what not

Shields you from life’s lives

Activate your peptide-mediated signaling cascade

Rise to leave behind the exuviae

Create and live a new movie

Surely, your revived cuticle will appear timid

But constant adherence and patience

Shall yield a new Instar

To again harden but this time to let the gentle fresh air flow in

Timely ecdysis is the key to keep you afloat

No one can ever stop your happy sailing boat.

What if We Teach Children To Continue
To Paint Clouds With Colors Of Imagination
Bringing Sunshine Within Filling Feeling Year Round

SenSinG OverFlowing Fountain Always Emptying Colors
Unto Souls Of Others Same Every Age of Soul Art Free

So Much Less Desire To Consume Nature Out of Balance

For It’s True All i FeLT iS Old Even At Age 21 When Clouds
So Grey Refused Any Hue of Happiness At School All About

Oh habeebity!! I loved coming upon this poem..I have been waiting to read you.. What a perfectly beautiful proclamation on shedding the old and allowing the new to push through. I love this word (it was new for me “ecdysis” )and it the perfect word,when it comes to our growth as human beings
and as fellow souls on this earth. “Create and live a new movie” Oh habeebity, this is the secret…we can refashion ourselves, Alhamdulillah, to be more positive, happy, compassionate, creative…We have this power. To slough off the old and begin brand new ( like in Hajj) is a gift for us all. no matter what we believe,. This poem felt very inspired UM Anzar and your message came through loud and clear.. Just beautifully done my dear friend….

Beautiful picture of the lady coverd with one of her eyes. Meaning of acdysis is the removing the layers and clear the part. In life also if you r covered by layers of greed..hatred..jealousy and many more then you will loose your peace and happiness. Nice poem. Liked it. ❤😚👍

This was a brilliant post, Samreen. Indeed, the resilient sailing boat will never be stopped, no matter what. I interpret this poem as a tribute to every woman and every person who works hard. You have put it very well. The picture was so apt too:)
